With the support of many Partners, the Trust has created CONKERS. This major indoor and outdoor visitor experience about life in British woodlands tells the story of The National Forest and also addresses global environmental issues. CONKERS was opened in 2001 and has since welcomed over 2 million visitors, including over 400,000 school children who regularly benefit from the CONKERS educational programmes.

The Trust is continually developing CONKERS´ facilities and in April 2017 opened a 4D cinema with support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
